Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

Equipment

  • 1 8x8 Pan
  • Parchment Paper
  • 1 Medium Mixing Bowl heat safe
  • 1 Small Mixing Bowl heat safe
  • 1 Small Pot Optional (to use for the double boiler)

Ingredients

Peanut Butter Mixture

  • 2 cups Peanut Butter
  • 2 cups Almond Flour
  • 1/4 cup Unflavored Protein Powder AGN Roots (any unflavored will work) OR you can choose to just add this amount in regular almond flour
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Oil You'll need to leave a little extra for greasing the pan if you don't use spray
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup

Chocolate Mixture

  • 1 cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 2 tbsp Coconut Oil

Instructions

  • Use extra coconut oil or spray to grease 8x8 pan and place parchment paper down.
  • Place peanut butter and coconut oil in the medium bowl and melt them together, stirring until combined. (I use the double boiler method however, you can use any method to melt.)
  • Then add the almond flour, protein powder (if using this), and maple syrup. Mix until it is smooth and spreadable.
  • Place in the 8x8 dish and set in the fridge to firm up.
  • Meanwhile, take the coconut oil and chocolate chips, melting in the same fashion. Mixing until combined and completely melted.
  • Drizzle the chocolate onto the 8x8 pan of peanut butter mixture and spread it out into an even layer.
  • Place in fridge for 2 hours or the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
  • Slice into bars and enjoy!
