Spinach & Feta Turkey Burgers

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Servings 4

Equipment

  • 1 Medium Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Grill or Stove Top

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Turkey I use 90/10 however, you may want to use one with more fat for more flavor
  • 1/2 cup Feta Any kind; this amount varies based on preference
  • 1/3 cup Spinach This amount varies based on preference
  • 3 Tbsp Dressing (I use Newman's Own Classic Oil & Vinegar) You can use a greek dressing or any other dressing to change the flavor; this amount varies based on preference
  • 2 tsp Onion Powder Or you can add fresh diced onions
  • varies Caramelized Onions Optional

Instructions

  • Turn on your stove top or grill to medium heat.
  • Mix all ingredients (except caramelized onions) into a medium sized mixing bowl.
  • Optional: If adding caramelized onions to the patties at the end, slice up onions and add to grill or stove top pan (you can even add them to the same skillet). Set them aside once done.
  • Roll meat mixture into 3 inch balls and place on grill or skillet.
  • Flat the meat balls into patties and cook for a 3 minutes before flipping.
  • Remove from stove once each patty has reached a safe internal temperature.
  • Add caramelized onions (or any other toppings) before serving warm.
  • Refrigerate any left over patties once they've cooled.

Notes

  • I also sometimes add a dash of Himalayan Pink Salt
  • You can add other ingredients like Kalamata Olives, tomatoes, peppers, etc.
  • Note: Since you've added salad dressing, you may find that the outside of the burgers get a little charred quicker than usual. This is the salad dressing and is normal to occur. You'll want to flip the patties often and/or use an oil or spray to keep it from sticking.

Pairs well with:
  • Burger buns
  • Veggies or a salad
  • Homemade Fries or Sweet Potato Fries
